and my econ professor says he wants me in intermediate, even though i am a liberal, but then won't give me an A

i really hate being a nerd sometimes

on a lighter note the librarian gave me candy because I looked cute in my costume

PS I really wish that shannon and Dave would say that I potential fo kayaking

or that Melonie Stine wouldn't laugh at me when my roll involved alot of flying limbs

but I did successfully roll and brace

So I swear that my life is really exciting

but i can never seem to think of something exciting to say in LJ

maybe it is the guilt over the french essya that I should be writting

or teh lack of sleep

We camped out friday night and I made Emma and Catilin come with and they know that they had a blast

and the pot smoking revivalists were really really loud

And we almost froze to death.... cuddling for body heat

and I punched Emma in the face in the middle of the night

We thought that Savage and Caitlin were going to pull a Brokeback... but instead they just (almost) got run over by boy scouts it was really super funny

and then we had the obligatory post-SWEBOP shower party

and did some more not sleeping

which all adds up to the fact htta I have a ton of homework to do

and I am hostig a prospetive tonight

my parents are here and that is exciting!

and we went to a German restuarnt for dinner and it was amazing tasty...tomorrow back to Prothro

And tomorrow we are going shopping

and meeting professuers

and i actaully enjoyed french class today it was strange

but I got these amazing slipper socks that are multi-colored and super fun

and it turns out that I really got 8 points higher on my french test than she gave me credit for. That so made my day!

Anyways....we went to Walmart last night because our FYA was having emotional breakdowns over Biochem. So we got her this huge bucket of fun things like whoppy cushions and sexy underwear and swords and a darth vader mask

then we made her cookies

and then we all ahd a mini party in her room and ew got yelled at for being too loud

it was so much fun

and we all got Darth Vader masks which just makes us really super cool

and now it is pouring down rain

and I am supposed to be writting an essay for German.

but it is fuckin friday afternoon

I am such a nerd it is relaly rather sad

oh oh oh And i got elected CEO (campus events organization) secretary by the student body

and i am now German club secretary

france was so excitingly fun.
the food was awesome we would have these 3 hour meals and my parents kept giving me alchohol
and i learned all these exciting things zum beispiel:
1)my parents getting stoned
2)my parents getting drunk

i am totally alone right now i though it would be nice to have thehouse to myself, but it is not

i can't figure out how to water the plants or use the washing machine

and i thought i had comne to terms with the fact that i wasn't going to Gravatt this summer. and then i almost cried when i found out that Hallie was going and I wasn't I love that place so much and i am going to work there next summer, even if my parents want me to get a real job. i can't not work there. it is the best place in the whole wide world!

i turned down a chance to drive to Berlin for the day to go to the zoo and disco today. wierd combo....

yeah I dont know about all you kiddies but i am currently hanging out in Paris.

Defiantly just run through a Palace Park, by the Pantheon, and through the Sorbonne.

And i am totally obcessed with all impressionistic art

and we are going to Versialles and Giverny tomorrow

and i am was actually a little sad to be leaving my host family for two weeks.

but not as excited as i am to be in Paris!

PS My parents still treat me like a baby.

but i guess it is true that i am really really spoiled

so my host dad, who couldn't care less about soccer and seems vaugely unaware that there is such a thing as a World Cup jsut won tickets to go to a game. In a fussball tournament. (my wife is still embaressed...) please note that this is in addition to the tickets that he gets from work.

Saturday night I was at a Volksfest in Walheim. And it was alot of fun. and we totally sang along to all the songs. and danced on the benches. and drove bumper cars. Then we missed the last train back to Munich. So we had to wake up Gabbi's dad to drive us to Tutzing. Then we had to wait an hour for the S-Bahn. And I almost got arrested crossing the tracks to get to teh vending machine. And i was the only one who wasn't intoxicated.

And Scott, Mr. S-Bahn is my bitch, took teh wrong S-Bahn. And we ended up having to turn around in Veirkirchen. It was really funny.

And my parents are coming on Sunday!

I just accidently deleted the whole entry i wrote about Berlin. But maybe that was better for the world, because it would only have meant something (funny or otherwise) to CBers.

So I will instead just give you a play by play account of the great night that was our last night in Berlin.

SO they said we could drink, gave us a late curfew, then booked us a table in a beer garden. But it was pouring down rain, so we waited for an hour, inteh rian. And carolien and I got ice cream. And i talked to a bunch of people that I hadn't really talked to before. Tehn we found a bar, and it turns out that Christian and I are soul mates, because we both got he smae drink. Then we went to The Circus, which is really happening, especially onteh night of Eurovision (pardonteh sidetrack, but I still can't beleoive that Finnland won- that si jsut crazy) There were all these crazy English speaking peopple there- totally crazy. But I mostly just hung out with Kenize Brian and Rob, a rpetty happenign group of peopel. Then we finally got a group of people together that wanted to go to the Disco so we headed that direction. And we meet these people who had jsut been at the Salsa bar with free entry and so we went there. And i danced with Brian. (I never would have beleive that last year) And Mike Corlis. but I didn't getto fulfill my dream of Salsing with a Latino. Chase falied me on that one. Then things got really intresting. We lost the people that I normally hang out with (whimps!) and we headed out to take in the Berlin night life. When we saw the bar with the guy dancing ont the bar we couldn't resist. They had the best coctials in teh entire world. and the DJ was pretty rockin. He was called DJ Twenty Fingers. Dancing wtih Chase, Mike, and carl the Australian. Actually a lot less strange than I thought it would be. Then we realized that we needed to head back, so we did. For some reason that remains beyond my comprehension we decieded to walkto the next U-Bahn instead of taking the one right there. They soem how found a soccer ball and were palying streetball, dodging hookers. Mike and Chris and I debated the fact that all teh Hoolers had uniformas and whether or not they all had the smae pimp or wethere they had creatd an independent union. Then Chris and Mike tried to pick one up. It didn't work.
Tehn we got ice cream. and mike a really disgusting doughnut at sale price. Then we foudn these Austrailans and they had an Aussie reunion. And carl was pretty wayted and kept screaming about how wonderfula country Germany is. When we finally made it backto the hostel Mike realized he had left his backpack and that we were after curfew. But teh Beurters didn't care becasue they were all drunk. The people from the hostel kept coming and telling them to be quiet. and they kept laughing uncontrollably. they kept making fun of teh kids. Then it was Robby Bubble and movie night, which we all slept thourgh. We I finally turned ouff the computer it was 4:30 inteh morning.

If you are like me and jsut skipped that bigh paragraph of text don't feel bad. The whoel point is that i would never have beleived that I, Carlie Adams, would have come home after curfew, with Chase, Mike, Chirs (aka hockey boy) and carl the Austrlian and the Betrueters wouldn't h=care because they were too busy making fun of Joe and chris.

It was alot hareder to say good-bye than I thought it would be, coming home to Munich was alot beter that I thought it would be.

But I don't feel like it is really over.

The German Mail lost my packet form American University! I hate my life. They are sending a new one to my house, but this is going to tkae forever!

My Strawberry shortcake alarm clock ticks really loudly and eats batteries. But it is so totally hot. that was the best 3.99 Euros that I have ever spent!

I don't know how all you crazy people have wasted your spring Break, but I am in Dublin right now

BUt rioght now we are missing our sencond Rugby game of the night very furstrating.

this weeknd was incredibly fun.

Went to Rhineland-Westphalia with my host parents and i thought it was going to be mad crazy akward/boring

it was actually really fun. Depsite the fact hat i had to carry 20 pounds of cheese across the city

We went to Holland and this tiny city that looks exclty like it did in the middle ages plus Amererican tourists.

lots of american tourists

and we spent the night with Gerd's cousins who i really really like. and not only because they gave me a big thing of chocalte.

and it is realy warm here all of a sudden

I mean i went to school today in a t-shirt and sweater. god life is good

and my hsot sister went to the hospitla last night with a finger that is proabbly broken. I totally missed it all. Guess i got a little to into star wars!

oh my god I got into Washington and Lee!

This after i had finally decieded that i was perfectly happy going to Sweet Briar

i think my mother was trying to send my a subtle messages by sending an article about the benefots of all girl's schools and one about how exoensive college is.

this weekend to Noderland and hopefully Amsterdam.
next weekend Berlin

today i went to teh Bavairan National Museum. Defiantly got lost in the middle ages section. all chirhc art and almost all dying jesuses on crosses. Very scary, every time i turned a coner there was a nother suffering bloody figure.

i wish i could just understand my host family.
